The Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth invites British Columbians to share their input, experiences and recommendations on assessment and eligibility processes for children and youth with neuro-diverse (e.g.: ASD, FASD, Developmental Delay) special needs.

You can participate by speaking with the Committee at a public hearing, or by making a written, audio or video submission. The Guiding Questions may assist you in preparing for your presentation or submission.

To register for a public hearing in Terrace, Fort St. John, Prince George, Kelowna, Castlegar or Nanaimo, please contact the Parliamentary Committees Office at 250-356-2933 (toll-free in BC at 1-877-428-8337). Registration for the Victoria public hearing is available via the link below. Please note the Surrey public hearing is full.

Accessibility: In accordance with the Legislative Assembly’s commitment to accessibility, public hearings take place in accessible settings. If you have additional requirements, including the need for interpretive services, please email ChildrenandYouthCommittee@leg.bc.ca. We will make every effort to meet any additional accessibility requirements to support your presentation to the Committee.

Waitlist: If a public hearing is full, please email ChildrenandYouthCommittee@leg.bc.ca or 250-256-2933 (toll-free in BC at 1-877-428-8337) to be placed on a waitlist.
